2 CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE
(a) We reserve the right to refuse any bet at the time it is offered and to declare void any selection processed after the off of the event, or any bet which contravenes the rules. In multiple or accumulative bets, void selections will be treated as non-runners.
(b) In the event of a bet giving rise to a dispute which cannot be settled between the customer and ourselves, it is agreed that the matter will be submitted to IBAS and the decision given by the appropriate body shall be final and binding upon both parties.
(c) It is accepted that any instructions issued by means of a press advertisement or by way of a notice displayed in our betting offices are to be read as being part of our Rules.
(d) Claims in respect of winnings will not be entertained if made later than 28 days after the final event completes on the bet.
(e) Doubles, Trebles and Accumulators are accepted Win and Each Way in our offices. Each Way Doubles, trebles etc., are calculated on a win to win, place to place basis, except where a client gives clear written instructions that their bet is to be settled by the equally divided method. We do not accept equally divided on Lucky bets. Any taken in error will be settled as each way.
(f) To be valid, all bets in our shops must be processed through our shop till system prior to chosen event starting.
(g) Where we offer trading concessions additional to the trading terms on display in these rules, they are subject to any limits as advertised. Greater SP concession is offered on selected races, subject to terms displayed in individual offices. Amended result concession is offered on all bets and to all stakes. Amended result concession does not apply to the Grand National. Amended result does not apply to winning distances or winning favourites markets. Amended result does not apply if a horse weight out light or takes the wrong course.
(h) In the event that no Starting Price is returned on any race, horses or greyhounds, all SP bets will be settled at tote odds, and be subject to the rules applicable to tote bets. Any bets on unnamed favourites in such races will be void and treated as non-runners. An industry SP is counted as an SP.
(i) We reserve the right to refund void stakes by cheque.
(j) We will not accept any wager value £10,000.00 or over, because of money laundering regulations
(k) Where there is an error made by the judge, and a wrong position is called, the company reserve the right to pay out only on the correct result. This is separate from the Double result offer. However, we would like to point out to clients that should any payment be made prior to the decision being changed, the company will not seek to reclaim any amounts paid.
(l) No bet is accepted until we have received the full amount of stake and we have provided you with a valid receipt confirming that the bet has been accepted by us. We reserve the right to refuse to accept the whole or part of any bet.
(m) Winnings may be collected at any branch of DPNW provided the paying branch is able to confirm the bet details with the branch where the bet was placed.  On occasions it may be necessary for the bet to be collected only at the branch where it was placed.
(n)Mark Sense slips must be marked clearly, as indicated on the relevant slip for the event. It is customer’s responsibility to check bets taken on mark sense quick slips, and in the case of any selections not picked up or any mark picked up as selection, then the customer must notify the staff straight away. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the receipts as bets cannot be changed after bet has started. The bet will be settled on selections as verified by our electronic till system. Bets cannot be altered after a event has started.
Minimum and maximum stakes, where they apply, are printed on the coupons. If insufficient cash is received, settlement will be in proportion to what the stake should have been
(o) We do not offer cash out on any bets placed over the counter. SSBT bets may offer cash out, but this is at the discretion of BGT, and bets should not be placed with the expectation cash out will be offered. If cash out is not offered, we accept no responsibility.

Please note the below limits specific to our Best Odds concession. Should the total stake of a bet exceed the limit, the remainder will be settled at the price taken.
Stakes
Singles – £100
Doubles/Trebles – £25
Multi Bets – £5 unit stake
Also note that payouts with these concessions are limited to a maximum £1000 extra bonus. So for example, if the concession caused the payout of a bet to increase by £1400, you would only receive the extra £1000.
If there is evidence of stake splitting by a customer in order to exceed the limits above, we reserve the right to only apply the Best Odds to the advertised limit, even if the bet is split across multiple slips.
The races offered will vary from shop to shop, and that day’s best odds races will be advertised in the shop daily. Applies to early prices and board prices. Take the price, and if the SP returns greater, we’ll pay you out at the bigger price.
For example, if you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with a Starting Price of 4/1, we pay you 4/1. If you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with a Starting Price of 2/1, we pay you 3/1.
Best Odds Guaranteed is available from open each day on selected UK and Irish horse races unless otherwise advertised by ourselves.
Bets must be placed on the day of the race to qualify.
The offer applies only to bets taken over the counter where the early price or board price has been taken. It does not apply to ante-post bets.
In the event of a Rule 4, we pay you at the bigger odds, after the Rule 4 deduction has been applied.
Stake Limits (£100 win singles, £50EW singles, £25 doubles/ trebles and £5 all other multi bets) and Bonus limits (£1000 bonus payout) apply.
“Where the company has reasonable grounds to believe that an individual or group of individuals acting together have placed a series of bets to circumvent the staking limits for bonus/concession/ consolation/offers, those bets will be settled at the odds available at the time without any bonus/ concession being applicable. This includes, but is not limited to, splitting stakes, combining the same selection/selections in a series of bets, and using names/racecard number/trap number/favourite status”

4 CLIENT’S INSTRUCTIONS
Should a selection/selections be incorrectly spelt, the bet will be executed provided we are satisfied as to the identity of the selection/selections. However, if half of one horses or greyhounds name and half of another horse or greyhounds name is selected the stakes will be halved on each selection. E.g. client write Red JACKET and both RED SHOE and BLACK JACKET are in the race then the stakes are split between each selection.
Should a selection not be fully identified, i.e. BLUE written when Blue Oyster and Blue Bird are running then the stakes will be split.
Where a selection cannot be determined, and a valid time is not stated, then in single bets the selection shall be taken as the favourite in the next race to go off after the acceptance of the bet (if a meeting is stated then it will be the next race at the meeting stated after acceptance).
In multiple bets if no valid time is stated or a time is illegible, and the selection cannot be determined, then it will be treated as a non-runner.
Where no selection can be determined but a valid time is stated then the favourite will be used, in both single and multiple bets. If a selection is named and numbered, and the number does not match the horse named, stakes will be split between the two selections.
When a client times a horse for a race in which it is not engaged, and it is engaged in another race, then the bet will stand for the race in which the horse actually runs.
Where a horse is doubly engaged the bet will be settled for the race it actually runs in, unless the client states the time of the race for which he wishes his bet to stand.
Should a bet be taken on a horse which runs twice in one day, then the bet will be executed on the first race that the horse runs in after acceptance of the bet, unless otherwise stated on the betting slip. If however, an alternative horse is given this will be taken as timing the commission for the race in which both horses are engaged.
If a same named selection runs on the day, then the English or Irish runner will take preference over virtual or foreign race unless the bet clearly indicates which selection is required.
Example Swift grace 2.10 Ascot & Swift Grace 3.58 Virtual, the bet will go on the 2.10 Ascot unless bet clearly indicates which selection is required
(e) The advertised time of races, the returns and the results as published in the ‘Racing Post’ will govern the settlement of all bets, palpable errors excepted. The Instructions to the ‘first race’, ‘last race’, etc., will be determined by reference to the day’s programme as published in ‘Racing Post’ and, unless otherwise specified by the client, the instructions ‘through the card’ will be taken to refer to all the races at a meeting , horses or greyhounds, published in the advertised programme, e.g., should a client place a ‘Through the Card’ wager on any 7 race programme (for example) and write 15 doubles, the bet will be settled to 21 doubles and the stakes divided accordingly.
(f) Where a client gives an incorrect number of selections for a Yankee or similar bet, i.e. FIVE selections for a Yankee, a bet will be executed as a full cover (doubles upwards) on the number of selections given, and the stakes apportioned accordingly, where not enough selections are given, full cover to the requested unit stakes will be given and the excess returned.
(g) Where insufficient money is received to cover a wager or wagers on any slip, the bet or bets will be settled throughout as written and the total return will be apportioned to the amount staked, i.e. if £6.00 is staked for an £8.00 wager, the client will receive 3/4 of the total returns on that wager. Where a client’s total stake exceeds the instructions written, the excess will be refunded.
(h) Where more than one horse is backed in a race in doubles, trebles, etc., where they clash, stakes will be divided, i.e., in a Yankee when two selections run in the same race, where they come together half stakes will be put on each horse, the double becomes half stake singles, the treble becomes two half stake doubles, the fourfold becomes two half stake trebles. This rule also applies when a client selects the same horse twice.
(i) Where selections are written but no instructions appear indicating win or each way, then the bet will be settled as a win bet, irrespective of bet type or number of selections.
(j) In the event of an original wager being returned to the client in error with his receipt, the bet will be declared void unless independent photographic evidence exists of the contents of the original bet.
(k) A WALK-OVER constitutes a race.
(l) Suffixes denoting country of origin will be deemed to be part of the name when two or more horses with the same name are engaged on the same day. Bets will be settled as for the horse with no suffix if none has been written by the client.
(m) Where a client stipulates an alternative selection ‘if absent’, that selection must be in the same race as the original selection. Where an error has been made, that part of the bet will be declared void, win or lose.
(n) If a time (or time & meeting) stated, but no selection made, the fav will be inserted. If no valid time is stated then the selection will be the favourite in the next race to run.
(o)
A- If time & meeting nominated and time does not match the meeting or any other meeting of the day the bet will go on next race at meeting nominated

B- If time & meeting nominated and time corresponds to another meeting horse or dogs then the bet will be settled on the time as written on slip unless the race at the time specified has already finished, at which point the bet will stand on the next race off at the named meeting. For example – a customer places a bet on the 3:34pm Swindon at 4:10pm. The only race at 3:34pm was at Portman Park. If the Portman Park race has not started, the bet will stand on this race. If it has started, the bet will stand on the next race off at Swindon.
C- If selection is written in form of number and “T” on the slip but time does not match a dog race then the bet will stand as the number on slip for the nominated time on slip irrespective of the “T”
(p) Where a time is stated, but no meeting determined, then the following order will stand:-

  1. UK Racing
  2. Irish Racing
  3. Foreign Racing
  4. SIS Virtual
  5. Virtual Betting Channel (where applicable)

So if a bet is placed on number 2 in the 3:35, and there is a 3:35 Bath, 3:35 Limerick and 3:35 Deauville, all on SIS/Turf/Terrestrial, the bet would stand as for the 3:35 Bath.  If the Bath race has already run, it would stand for the 3:35 Limerick, and so on
If two races coming under the same category are classed as the correct race to be translated on, the stake will be split between the two – for example, should the slip indicate 2.30pm, and the only races going off at that time are at Longchamp and Munich, the stake will be split between the pair
Match Bet Markets
As of 14/08/2023, these are not accepted through our over the counter till system. Any accepted in error are void, win or lose.

5 DOUBLE ENGAGEMENT/IDENTICAL NAMES

Where you time a horse, which is doubly engaged (entered for two races), it will be considered a bet for the race timed only. If the selection runs in the other race, it will be treated as a non-runner. The same principle will also apply when a horse, greyhound or virtual runner have identical names. If the bet is not timed and no qualifying price has been laid the bet will be settled in the following order of priority UK horse race, then Irish horse race, then greyhound race, then overseas horse race, then virtual race

6 EACH WAY BETTING
(a) Where there are fewer than 5 runners place money goes on to win.
(b) In horse races of 5, 6, or 7 runners we pay one-fourth the SP odds on the first two places.
(c) In horse races of 8 or more runners we pay one fifth the SP odds on the first 3 places except that
(d) In handicaps of 12 to 15 runners inclusive we pay one quarter the SP odds on the first 3 places
(e) In handicaps of 16 or more runners inclusive we pay one quarter the SP odds on the first 4 places.
(f) Place only betting is not accepted unless specifically advertised for a race. This does not include Tote betting.
(g) Selected units may advise revised place terms including when the favourite starts odds on. We reserve the right to settle each way bets at one sixth of the odds when the favourite starts at odds of 4/6 or lower. We reserve the right to settle each way bets at one seventh of the odds when the favourite starts out at odds of ½ or lower.
We do not accept equally divided on Lucky bets. Any taken in error will be settled as each way.
Extra Place Races
From time to time we may offer special each-way terms on individual races.  When this occurs, we reserve the right to alter the standard place terms detailed in our rules (e.g. we may offer to pay out five places in a handicap with 16 or more runners but change the place terms to pay one fifth of the win odds rather than one quarter).  Customers should check the place terms of a race whenever the number of places paid changes, particularly when we offer additional places.
For races where we are offering additional place terms:
Where 5 Places are offered on a race: If, due to non-runners and withdrawals, fewer than 16 runners take part we will pay 1/5 odds on 4 places.  If fewer than 12 runners take part, then standard place terms will apply.
Where 4 Places are offered on a race. If, due to non-runners and withdrawals fewer than 12 runners take part then standard place terms will apply.

7 ALTERATIONS
Commissions once received cannot be altered or cancelled unless by mutual consent. This extends to all bets including those placed on Betting Terminals.

8 ERRORS IN TRANSMISSION
In the event of a mistake in the transmission of prices, results, or any other information either by SIS, PA or any relevant supplier, or its agents, or by any member of our staff, such a mistake giving rise to a claim for greater or lesser payment than would otherwise have been due, the bet will be settled at Starting Price.
‘Show’ prices, results, etc., displayed in our offices are relayed in good faith but we cannot be held responsible for mistakes and the foregoing rule will be strictly adhered to.

9 BOARD PRICES
Any board price taken on a wager will apply to the selection throughout the slip. We do NOT lay ‘bar’ prices. Where a board price is requested, the current price for the chosen selection according to our electronic till system at time of acceptance will apply to the bet, irrespective of what is stated on the slip. It is the responsibility of the customer to request a price – selection will be settled at price as confirmed on our electronic till system at time bet registered on till – We do not accept prices for any American racing unless otherwise specified for selected meetings. Any prices taken in error on slips will be ignored and bets settled at SP.

10 PRICE RIGGING
Where there is evidence of price rigging either at Tote or Starting Price on horse or greyhound racing, we reserve the right to settle a Tote Bet at starting price or vice versa.

We accept bets on first and second favourites only. The favourite is the horse quoted in the official Starting Price Return at the shortest odds; the second favourite is the horse quoted at the next shortest odds. In any race where two horses are quoted at the same rate and this rate is shorter than that of any other horse in the race, then these two horses are joint first and second favourites. Where a client uses the word ‘favourite’ or ‘second favourite’ to indicate his selection, his stake will be invested on the horse or horses defined above. If two or more horses are thus selected, his stake will be divided and invested equally among each of the horses selected. Un-named favourites are accepted WIN ONLY: any place part of a commission on an un-named favourite goes on to win. We do not accept unnamed favourites at Tote odds: any bets so taken in error will be settled at SP Returns. In the event of the withdrawal of the returned favourite if not under orders bets on un-named favourites will be settled as non-runners, except in the case where more than one horse is returned as favourite, when the stake will be divided equally.
Should a favourite commission be received, and the meeting not nominated, it will be executed as per section 4.
Where the selection is untimed, but the meeting stated it will be taken as for the next race to be run after the time of acceptance. Where the selection is timed but the time and meeting do not match then see section 4.
Where no time or meeting is stated then the bet will be taken as for the next race to be run after acceptance of the bet. This rule also applies to Greyhound racing.
Where time and meeting is stated but no selection is made the stake money is invested on the favourite for that race or split according in the event of joint or co favourites.
Where no time but only the meeting is stated the stake money will be invested on the favourite in the next race at that meeting after acceptance of the bet.
Any bet marked non-runner = fav/2fav will be accepted Win Only. Any taken in error on each way bets will be settled as straight win bets.
For the “favourites” market bets are void if a meeting is not concluded. The exception to this is if the upper limit has been passed at the time of abandonment i.e. if the betting was for over 59, and 60 had been reached before abandonment then all bets would stand.

Where a fav or 2nd fav is withdrawn and no new market is formed then any unnamed fav or 2nd fav will be treated as non runner in this case also if it is joint fav then half stake will be void and other half will go on the remain runner.

12 OWNER/TRAINER/JOCKEY MOUNTS
We do not accept commissions which request that all of a particular owner/trainer/jockeys runners in a day are combined in a bet (i.e. an accumulator of all of F.Dettori’s mounts in a day). If you wish to place a bet like this, you must identify each runner individually on the betting slip and place in that way.
This is separate from any markets for top owner/trainer/jockey.

13 WALK-OVERS AND VOID RACES
These count as a race, so that if a horse is entered twice in one day, walks over in the two o’clock race and later runs in a race at three o’clock, bets stand for the walk-over unless specifically timed.
Void races will be treated as non-runners for the purpose of calculating wagers. Thus a bet of fifteen doubles with one race declared void, resolves itself into five single bets and ten doubles. This also applies in the case where there are two meetings and one is abandoned. Please see our match bet rules (section 4) for an exception to this rule.
When races are named, as for instance first, second, or last race, they will be taken as placed in the days programme as printed in the ‘Racing Post’. Thus if £5 the last favourite is stated and the last race is cancelled or a walk-over the bet will be void.

14 ANY-TO-COME OR IF CASH
(a) When bets are made Any-to-come Each way singles, doubles, etc., and there is insufficient stake money in hand to cover all the selections, the win stake will be invested on the first single or double then the place stake on the first single or double and so on for all subsequent selections, in the order they are written.
(b) In deciding from which part of the bet the ‘any-to-come’ is to be applied, a drawn line will be read as indicating the end of the bet and the start of another.
(c) In the conditional part of an ‘any-to-come’ bet, if the stake is omitted the amount staked on the preceding selection will be invested.
(d) Obviously the returns from a selection in a race cannot go on to a selection in the same race.
(e) On betting slips, etc., any number of ‘X’s’ will be taken as ‘Up and Down’ single stakes only.  If the clients require double stakes about, they must clearly state this fact.
(f) We do not accept UP AND DOWN bets which include Forecasts, if taken in error they will be made void.
(g) Except in ‘Up and Down’ bets the ‘Any to come’ part of a wager must be in a later event than the original selection(s) i.e. if a bet is accepted £1 to win a selection which runs at 2.30 ATC £1 win a selection which runs at 2.00 (or multiple bets which start before 2.30) then the ATC portion will be void. Please note we only accept singles in up and down. Any multiple selections will be settled with the ATC part ignored
(h) Any-to-come bets are accepted, singles only
(i) Any to come bets not accepted on any sports event

15 IF LOSE AND STOP AT A WINNER
This type of commission will only be accepted provided the horses or greyhounds are down the card (in race order)  For the purpose of setting this type of commission the words, “if lose “or” if win” do not include for non-runners.  Non-runners will be treated as a refund for that selection, but will not halt the bet.

16 TOTALISATOR BETTING – TOTE DIRECT
Where Tote Direct is available then all Tote Direct bets are accepted with no limit to winnings when placed using the Tote Direct Mark Sense slips.
Tote bets must be placed on Tote mark sense slips – any taken on plain slips in error will be voided, win or lose.
We are bound by the specific rules as issued by the Horserace Totalisator Board (available on request from our Head Office).
All bets placed using Tote Direct Mark Sense slips are subject to tote rules, and as such any David Pluck shop offers do not apply to these bets.
In the event of a technical issue preventing connection to the tote, instructions for that period will be displayed in shop

17 FORECASTS
Subject to the following rules forecasts are accepted in singles, doubles, or as forecast patents. Any other forecast bet types are not accepted, and if taken in error will be declared void, win or lose.
In a forecast if the same selection is repeated, or if the selection runs in different races, then the stakes money will be split as win singles.
If a forecast contains a non-runner then the stake will be invested as a win single on the remaining selection.
Forecasts are accepted in races of three or more runners, and settled in accordance with the officially declared computer forecast returns. In the event of three selections being stated for a straight forecast bet, the forecast will be settled on the first 2 as written.
Unnamed first/second favourites are not accepted in forecast bets and if taken in error the forecast will be void.
Should only one horse finish a race, bets are settled as singles on the winning horse. Other forecast bets are losers.
We do not accept any bets worded as Against the Field, or With the Field (ATF/WTF). These need to be written longhand (ie. 1 x 2, 1 x 3, etc)

18 TRICASTS
Select three horses or greyhounds to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in correct order.
Unnamed first/second favourites not accepted – any bets including an unnamed first/second favourite will be void
Tricasts will be settled in accordance with official computer return.
Should selections for a Tricast include one non-runner, the stake will be invested as a computer straight forecast on the remaining two selections in the order written with the non-runner being discounted.
In the case of a combination tricast with a non-runner, the total amount will be settled as a reversed forecast on the remaining selections. Should selections for a tricast include two non-runners; the stake will be invested as a win single at starting price on the remaining selection.
If for any reason a tricast is accepted on a race which does not return a tricast dividend then the bet will be settled as a straight forecast on the first two selections named, and with combination tricast the bet will be settled as combination forecasts.
Tricasts are only accepted in singles. Tricast doubles and upwards are not accepted and if taken in error will be void. If a tricast contains selections in different races it will be voided.
Should only one horse finish a race, bets are settled as singles on the winning horse. Other tricast bets are losers.

19 LATE WITHDRAWALS, OBJECTIONS & RE-RUN RACES
Where a horse is withdrawn before coming under starters orders, or in the event of disqualification, wagers will be settled in accordance with Tattersall Rules.
In the event of a horse race being re-run all commissions will stand for the re-run race.
Board prices taken on the original race will be cancelled and the bets settled at SP.
Horses which come under Starters Orders on the original race will be considered losers if not taking part in the re-run race, unless otherwise announced. Tattersalls Rule 4(c) SCALE OF DEDUCTIONS

20 GREYHOUNDS
Under the foregoing general rules and conditions and subject to any alterations to such rules given below we accept commissions for greyhounds whether by name or trap number.
Any bet accepted for any Greyhound racing cumulative Pool will be void.
We do not accept any Tote bets for greyhound racing unless placed on Tote Direct Mark Sense slips. If Greyhound tote bets are placed on plain slips, they will be void.
Each way betting – For greyhound commissions at starting price we pay one quarter the odds 1-2 for five, six or seven runners, and one-fifth the odds 1-2-3 for eight runners or above. Fewer than five runners the stake goes on to win. Unnamed favourites in greyhound racing are accepted.
We do not accept unnamed favourites in any forecast wager: any taken in error will be declared void.
Greyhound Forecasts and Tricasts – for meetings covered will be settled by the dividends returned form the track (which can be found on the Racing Post website too).
Where a bet is accepted for forecast doubles through the card and more races are run than the amount staked for, then the bet will be equally divided over the number of races run at the meeting. For example bets staked for eight races and there are ten races run, then the total will be divided up i.e. ten singles instead of eight or forty five straight forecast doubles instead of twenty-eight. We accept forecast singles, doubles and patents, and tricast singles only; any larger accumulative bets accepted in error will be void.
We reserve the right not to accept bets once the hare is running.
Re-run races – when a race is declared void and is re-run, all bets will stand for the greyhounds that take part in the re-run, but bets may be cancelled by mutual agreement. The prices returned on the re-run will rule the settling. Board prices laid in void races will not be valid for the re-run, and such bets will be settled at SP. A re-run greyhound race is taken in the order in which it was originally placed on the programme, and no notice is taken of the time of the re-run.
When a race is declared void and is not re-run, all bets on that race will be void, and will not count for any additional reserve race. If a bet is taken in error it will be declared void, win or lose.

21 ANTE POST
Ante post wagers are accepted at quoted prices, on the basis of all in, run or not, entered or not. This means in the event of a selection not running in the race, it will be declared a loser.
The only exceptions to the first paragraph are as laid down in Tatersalls rules which provide:-
Single ante post bets will be void if the race is abandoned, declared void, or if the conditions of the race are altered after bets are made. Single bets on a horse balloted out under Jockey Club rules will also be void. In any such cases, accumulative ante post bets will stand on the remaining legs, at the prices laid on the selections in those races, with a double becoming a single, treble becoming a double, etc.
Ante post bets will be settled at the place terms that apply when the bet is taken

22 DEAD HEATS
In the event of a dead heat for first place, stake money on each of the horse will be divided by the number of horses in the dead heat. Full odds will be paid to the divided stake with the remainder of the money being lost.
In a dead heat for second place, place bets are settled to full stake if there are more than seven runners in the race.
If there are five, six or seven runners the backer gets full place odds to half his stake.
In a dead heat for third place with more than seven runners in the race and where only three places are paid, place bets are settled to full odds to half the stake if only two are involved in the dead heat. If four places are being paid place bets are settled at full place odds. In a dead heat for fourth place when four places are being paid place bets are settled at full odds to half the stakes, the other half being lost.

23 Rules of Betting
Tattersalls Rules of Betting will apply in situations not covered by the above Rules. All bets are subject to Deductions at the rate displayed in the Office in which the bet was placed. We cannot undertake to advise clients of any errors in their instructions or points on which they are at variance with our Rules although every effort will be made to do so when possible.
Our double result offer applies to horse racing only.

Other Speciality Bets
We do not offer any bonuses or concessions on other bet types, with or without specially printed slips. This includes, but is not limited to, Yankee Bets and Forecast Doubles.
Where slips from another bookmaker are used, or where customers are using historical betting slips they have retained previously, our current rules will apply.

25 Overseas Betting
Bets will be accepted as long as runners, riders and results are printed in the Racing Post or specifically produced race cards displayed in our shops. Any bets inadvertently accepted that are outside this scope are automatically void win or lose.
Tote odds are accepted (including PMU) as long as the bet is placed on a Tote slip and it is able to be placed into the pool.
Bets not requesting the local tote/PMU will be settled at SP. Where an overseas race does not return a local SP, we will be provided with an SP by our suppliers. This will be provided by the broadcaster showing live pictures in shop for the meeting. So, a meeting being shown on SIS will use the SP provided by SIS, and a meeting shown on TRP will use the SP provided by TRP. These prices are provided to us via the BTC. Please note, supplier SP may vary from other prices quoted online, or the local tote returns.
Any exceptions for selected meetings will be advertised in the shop on the day of the race.
Placepots are accepted where available, using tote mark sense slips only. Any placepots written on plain slips will be voided, win or lose.
We do not accept prices on American races unless specified for selected meetings – any prices taken in error on slips will be ignored and bets settled at SP.

27 Football betting
General football betting rules
All bets will be settled as accumulators, based on the individual odds quoted on the coupon or advertisement, unless clearly stated by the client.
Permutations are accepted, provided instructions are clear and capable of only one interpretation. Any-To-Come, or ‘plans’, are not accepted and if taken in error will be void.
Selections for matches that kick off prior to the bet being accepted will be void. The exception to this will be where we offer “Betting in Running” where the relevant price will stand at the time placed.
Where the venue of a match is reversed, or a match played on neutral ground, selections for that match will be void, unless the fact that it is being played on neutral ground is printed on the coupon, SIS screen or advertisement.
If an accumulator is reduced by ‘non-runners’ the remaining selections will be settled irrespective of the minimum detailed earlier.
The score at the end of ninety minutes play will be taken as the final result. (‘Ninety Minutes play’ denotes the period of play which includes injury-time but not scheduled extra-time or penalty shoot-outs.
Should a match be abandoned prior to the completion of 90 minutes play, and the remaining minutes are not played at a later time on either of the next two days (local time), all markets will be void unless a winning market has already been established prior to the abandonment of the match, for example, first goalscorer, time of first goal, etc.
If a match is suspended or abandoned at the start and the remaining minutes are played at a later time on the same day, or at a later time on either of the following two days (local time), settlement will be based on the score at full time, once the remaining minutes have been completed, otherwise bets will be void, unless a winning market has already been established prior to the abandonment of the match, for example, first goalscorer, time of first goal, etc.
Where the outcome of the selection can be considered to affect or be dependent on another, these selections cannot be combined in multiple bets; if taken in error they will be settled as proportionate singles. This does not apply to ‘First Goalscorer – Correct Score Double’ bets (see below). – ‘Double Result’ betting which constitutes the forecasted result of an individual match at half-time and full-time is accepted on all matches listed on coupon, screen or advertisement, the odds determined by a special half time/ full time chart displayed in our offices unless advertised on coupon, screen or advertisement which will then supersede the chart. Singles and upwards accepted.
Where a football offer states ‘live match’, this applies to matches being shown live on BBC, ITV, Sky or TNT sports. It does not apply to matches being shown live on non-UK channels, or on a teams own channel.
Major leagues will take precedence if there are same named team playing on the same day. For example, if the bet states ‘Liverpool to win’, this will stand on Liverpool (UK) and not Liverpool (Uruguay) unless clearly stated.
For outrights we will follow official rulings.
If a tournament is deemed void by the official body, we will void all bets. An exception to this will be where a market has completed. For example: if a client backs Liverpool to win the league, and Liverpool have mathematically won the league at the point of the league being declared void, all bets on league winners will stand.
For bets “to qualify”, the outcome will stand on the official ruling regarding a team progressing to the next round. So for example, “Liverpool vs Atletico, Liverpool to qualify” will stand on the UEFA ruling.
Football mark sense slips
Selections must be marked clearly, as indicated on the football coupon.
Settlement on mark sense slips will be at the price prevailing at the time the bet is placed and will govern settlement irrespective of the pre-printed odds shown on the coupons. Odds offered on the Bet Stations may differ to those available over the counter
It is customer’s responsibility to check bets taken on mark sense quick slips, and in the cast of any selections not picked up or any mark picked up as selection, then the customer must notify the staff straight away. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the receipts as bets cannot be changed after bet has started. The bet will be settled on selections as verified by our electronic till system. Bets cannot be altered after a game has started.
Minimum and maximum stakes, where they apply, are printed on the coupons. If insufficient cash is received, settlement will be in proportion to what the stake should have been.
Only matches listed on coupons, SIS screens or advertisements may be selected.
Bets are taken up to the official kick off time. Bets inadvertently taken up to 5 minutes after the kick off will stand provided no significant event has occurred (goal scored / penalty awarded / player sent off / etc). Should a game kick off earlier than scheduled then the actual kick off time will stand for settling purposes. The exception to this will be where we offer “Betting in Running” where the relevant price will stand at the time placed.
Correct Score betting – Any other score not available on coupons or screens, price on application
Goalscorer Betting: Extra time does not count. Should a match be abandoned before 90 minutes playing time has elapsed First Goalscorer bets will stand provided a goal has been scored. Last Goalscorer bets void. Own goals do not count count for the settlement of first/last goalscorers.
First Goalscorer: Players taking no part or coming on after the first goal has been scored, stakes returned.
Last Goalscorer: A player who plays in any part of the official 90 minutes is deemed a ‘runner’ for last goalscorer purposes. Stakes returned on selections who take no part.
Each-Way Goalscorer:
We do not offer ‘each way’ on first goal scorer. Any bets taken in error will be settled as anytime goal scorer at the appropriate odds.
To Score Anytime: A player who plays in any part of the official 90 minutes is deemed a ‘runner’ for score at anytime purposes. Stakes returned on selections who take no part
Score a Hat-trick – Designated player must score three or more goals in the 90 minutes play only. If the match is abandoned bets are void unless your chosen player has already scored three or more goals. Player must take part at some point during the 90 minutes otherwise stakes are refunded.
First Goalscorer in play – This is treated as a regular first goal scorer bet, and bet will stand whether a first goal is scored or not.
Next Goalscorer in play – All bets will stand unless no next goal is scored, in which case the match is void. If a player is substituted before a next goal is scored, the bet is a loser.
All First and Last goalscorer betting will be settled according to the official result passed by the Press Association (the national agency which supplies match statistics and reports to the media) immediately after the match. Any subsequent amendment to P.A. records will be disregarded for betting purposes
First Player to Score, correct score doubles: These will be settled as printed on our coupons or at the advertised odds. If a player is selected who comes on after the first goal is scored or does not take part in the match, the bet will be settled as a correct score single. Where a match is abandoned after the first goal is scored, the bet will be settled as ‘First Goalscorer’ single. In the eventuality of all goals in the match being own-goals, all bets will be settled as correct score singles. Where the name of the winning team has been omitted, and no qualifying price has been entered, the correct score will be considered as for the first goalscorers team.
‘Half Time Coupons’ are accepted, where a client predicts the results of a series of matches at half-time. Minimum and maximum number of selections are as detailed on the coupons.
We accept singles and upwards on outright betting, handicap betting and over/under goals betting, plus correct scores.  These rules supersede any instructions on the coupon/football rules supplied by our printers.
Team to score both halves bets – Own goals count for settling these bets
Game of two halves – This market is for highest scoring half. Own goals count for settling these bets.
To Score a Freekick – For betting purposes, a penalty does NOT count as a freekick.
Should a client write on a slip an incorrect match – i.e. Everton to beat Hull, when Everton are playing Arsenal then the bet will be void. Also, when a client writes a number of matches but doesn’t state which result they require the bet will be settled as a win on the first of the teams as written, regardless of home or away. For matches in knockout tournaments any bet that mentions “to qualify” on slip will be settled on the team to progress to the next round at the relevant price.
In circumstances where a team name could be construed to be one of several, stakes would be split between those available unless the opponent for the game is clearly stated, or the country of the team in question.
ANYTIME WINCAST:

  1. An Anytime Wincast requires you to select a player to score anytime and their team to win in a double. Bets will be settled at the combined odds advertised or displayed. Unless otherwise stated extra time does not count.
  2. If the selected player does not start, but comes on at any time, then the bet stands.
  3. If the selected player does not start, and takes not part in the match, then the bet will be settled as a single on the nominated team to win.

League Outright Betting
Market description:
Predict the winner of a given league at the end of the season.
1. League winners will be determined by the official rules of the respective league. This includes a play-off or any other process which is used to determine the league winner.
2. If a team has points deducted by the official governing body, bets placed on this market will stand. Disqualifications/deductions following the Final day of the season will not change the result for the purposes of settling the bet.

VIRTUAL RACING RULES
Virtual racing is a computer generated presentation of a random number draw in which each number is represented by a different horse or greyhound.
The winners and placed selections are determined by the random number draw.  Odds are set by the number of times a runner is represented in the draw.  Thus runners which represent more numbers in the draw have a better chance of winning and are therefore quoted at a shorter price.
Betting on Virtual Horse Racing follows the same rules as British horse racing and betting on Virtual Greyhound racing follows the same rules as BAGS greyhound racing.
Selections on Virtual Racing may be combined in bets with selections from other betting events with the exception of other non-virtual numbers events (e.g. 49’s, Irish Lotto, etc.). Bonus and Consolation payments will apply to Virtual Racing bets placed on our range of Speciality slips.
A Virtual Race is described as a handicap to signify the place terms on the race.  It does not indicate that every horse has an equal chance.
Bets on Virtual Racing will be accepted up to the official start time broadcast in our shops
